Day of Hope Update

Hi Living Word Church, This is Pastor Daniel with the final "Love your neighbor" post of the summer.  As has been our discipline at Living Word, I will be taking a Sabbath rest from posting weekly during the month August.  But of course let's continue practicing the 2nd greatest commandment of loving our neighbors as ourselves as Jesus said.   Today, I would like to give us all an update on the Day of Hope last weekend and give God glory.  Last Saturday, about 90 people from 15 different churches/ministries came together at 2 different church locations to love our neighbors together in Jesus name! Here are some of the highlights: 350+ neighbors came and received goods and 1.4K people tuned

Day of Hope

Happy Friday Living Word Church, I wanted to remind us all that next Saturday, July 25th we will be having a mini Day of Hope event at our Church from 12pm-4pm.  I know many of us have participated or served in our Day of Hope events in the past.  This year will obviously be a lot different due to the coronavirus pandemic but we are still so thankful to the Lord that we have the opportunity to share the love and hope of Christ with our community again this year through this event. As in years past, this year we will be giving away a variety of goods to all who attend including:  basic toiletries, food items, adult and children's clothing, shoes, diapers and more.  If you know of anyone who i

Route one and day of hope

Hi Living Word Church, Pastor Daniel here sending you my love in Jesus' name.  For our Love Our Neighbor post this week I want to share a couple things: First I want to share with you a Bible study video that I made to follow-up with my message on Sunday from 1 John 2:15-17.  The major way we can truly love our neighbors is to have God's love deep inside our hearts.  And sadly as the apostle John tells us, the love for the world and the things of this world can replace the love of God and His love for others within our hearts.  So in this video, I talk about ways we can discern whether we are loving the things of this world or growing in the love of God.  I encourage you to watch it, reflect

Happy 4th!

Hello Living Word Church, Happy 4th of July weekend!  There are a couple of things I wanted to share with us all today on how we can continue to love our neighbors as ourselves: First of all, I want to thank everyone who participated in our Sex trafficking seminar this past Saturday.  If you missed it but would like info about what was discussed or about Route One ministry which seeks to love women who work in strip clubs please let me know. Pray!  1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, " I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  Th
