Happy 4th!

Hello Living Word Church, Happy 4th of July weekend!  There are a couple of things I wanted to share with us all today on how we can continue to love our neighbors as ourselves:

  1. First of all, I want to thank everyone who participated in our Sex trafficking seminar this past Saturday.  If you missed it but would like info about what was discussed or about Route One ministry which seeks to love women who work in strip clubs please let me know.

  2. Pray!  1 Timothy 2:1-4 says, " I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people-for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.  This is good and please God our Savior who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth." Please join with us in prayer tomorrow morning for prayer from 7am-8:30am: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/87902969295?pwd=MzU2L09OcGdwM2ZTTlA4T05MSVU1dz09 Meeting ID: 879 0296 9295 Password: 052020).  Also join us for a night of prayer and fasting on Thursday, July 9th @ 7pm.  You can participate live with us at church or virtually through facebook live

  3. Give & Serve!  Mark you calendars because on Saturday, July 25th we will be having our annual Day of Hope.  This year due to the virus, we will be hosting it at our church from 12pm-4pm.  I will be sending more details in the weeks to come about how we can serve at the event but please begin praying! This year the event will be focused towards loving our neighbors who are in recovery for drug addiction.  As many of you know already, drug addiction is at epidemic proportions in our city and nation and God is leading us to respond.  Below is a post from Hope for Worcester about one way we can help:

As a response to the epidemic of drug addiction in our city, and to encourage our neighbors who are striving for sobriety, we are giving "Bags of Hope" to those who are battling addiction. Each bag is $20.00 and includes a pair of slippers, socks, hoodie, hygiene products, Gospel of John, crisis magnet, prayers, encouragement and more! If you are able, please donate 1 bag or several by going to: https://hopeforworcester.org/donate . Love your neighbor, Pastor Daniel
