Surge School was created as a way to equip people throughout a region into a broader and deeper understanding of Jesus’ mission for His Church in the places they live, work, play, and rest. Thousands of people in North America have benefitted from this collaborative training across traditions and denominations.

Surge Begins in September 2022
Surge School is an integrated 9-month discipleship program used to equip followers of Jesus in their churches, workplaces, and neighborhoods. Surge provides participants with a lens to see all of life in the context of the greater work that God is doing in all of creation, and also the specific work God is doing in each person to bless the world.

5 | B.L.E.S.S. Rhythms to Practice: Bless, Listen, Eat, Speak, Sabbath
4 | Quarters (8 Weeks) with One Focus for Each + Quarterly Gathering:
Q1 The True Story of the Whole World: Learn to Read the Bible as One Story
Q2 The Deeply Formed Life: Live in Light of God's Story in Today’s Culture(s)
Q3 The Symphony of Mission: Wonder at the Breadth of God’s Mission for the World
Q4 Connect Your Work to God's Work: Discover How Your Work Participates in God's Mission
3 | Learning Environments: Surge's holistic model is done over an academic year (September-May), creating a slow drip for deep personal formation and communal transformation.
+ Weekly Surge Table Meeting: This primary learning environment for Surge is a weekly meeting where participants discuss the reading and bring out the implications for life and leadership in community together.
+ Personal Study: Every participant is committed to read the material in the books and Surge Reader in order to benefit personally and then share communally with her or his Surge Table.
+ Quarterly Intensives: Four times throughout the year, all Surge students gather in one place to pray together and learn from first-rate scholars and front-line church leaders.

You're Invited: Surge School in Worcester, Massachusetts, will begin this September. The goal for this 1st Surge School is to get 25+ people to participate together alongside multiple congregations. The school will last from September 2022 — May 2023.
Cost Per Person: The cost of Surge School is $99 per person (plus cost of 1 book per quarter).
